It's been obvious all season that the fitness is poor but Bilic won't change his staff or methods.
Enner Valencia also criticised the training when he went out on loan.

one on one with a keeper half a dozen times and doesn't put the ball in the net.
That has nothing to do with how much he trains. He just wasn't at the races.
Wrong player at the wrong club. tried and failed move on.

I can't remember a single one on one with the keeper he had. The closest was when he was through and then delayed and overhit a pass.

Zaza and Valencia are both useless, but assuming he is not lying about this shocking statement it would explain why we have looked so unfit?

I don't have any bad feeling toward him.
The move didn't work out. We cut our losses and move on.
While he may be making excuses to an extent, I hope we are always looking into training and nutrition etc to make sure it's the best it can be. Some of the Italian clubs have very good health and fitness programs and we could learn a lot.
I've always thought one of the first things we should do when acquiring a player from a successful club (as far back as when we got Roy Carroll) is to sit them down and ask them about any 'secrets of success' they could put their finger on from their former club and anything West Ham could do better.

and we look nowhere near as fit as other teams.

Maybe I'm looking at this too simplistically but are footballers that thick that they can't tell themselves to train a bit more or eat the right foods?
If I'm blowing out of my arse 4k into a 5k run I tell MYSELF I need to up my training, I dont need my trainer to tell me that. And I think I can work out that turkey Twizzlers aren't a good pre match meal.

The goalkeeper we bought from them in 2005 when they were still the top dogs.
There was probably a lot to learn from him on how the club operated under Ferguson and what he felt were the keys to success in training, culture etc. Obviously they had great players but were always greater than the sum of their parts as a team.
Not saying we didn't do that, but I really hope that we would take every opportunity to learn from and emulate successful methods employed by other clubs.

If it was a fitness/training issue, how come he was useless from the very first minute of each match, if his performances were fatigue related surely he'd still make an impact early on in the match?

I am no expert, but I assume if you are only doing 40 minutes training, when you get on the pitch you would be blowing out your arse from the off?
